Question: I am having a major problem with boxelder bugs and need some
resolution. They are driving me nuts. Could you please help with this
problem.
ANSWER The local Branch Office can provide this service, please call them directly.
Control of boxelder bugs outdoors is not easy, but they are susceptible to most garden insecticides, so they can be controlled. .
Outside: Boxelder bugs can be killed with nearly any insecticide, so pick one that has them listed on the label. Follow the label directions for mixing and application. The label will also have directions telling how often the treatment can be re-applied.
Inside: They can be removed from inside the house with a vacuum cleaner. You may have to keep doing this for several days to get them all. During the winter they can be active during warm and sunny days. They don't bite or sting or lay eggs in houses, but if crushed they could leave a stain.
