Question: I live in Phoenix, AZ in a two story home. The home is about 3
years old. I have regular pest control service, but have noticed
something that I cannot identify. I have a balcony on the second story
outside my bedroom. It is a stucco balcony with no ledges or any other
areas that bats could nest in. I've discovered that there is a pile
accumulating of cricket legs and empty larvae eggs. I haven't seen any
birds or bats in the area. I cannot see any reason why these are there
but the pile is growing - any ideas?
ANSWER Not sure what you have, but I don't think it is the work of bats (they eat things while they are flying). When the technician is there next time, ask him or her to look up to see if there are any bird nests above the balcony.
