Question: I am having high levels of phosphate in my swimming pool, and am not sure what is causing it. It could be my lawn spray company. But, wanted to know if my monthly Orkin pest control spray contains any phosphates. If so, I would have you spray a little further from my pool. Thank you.

ANSWER: There are no current household insecticides that are based on phosphates. To my knowledge, certain fertilizers contain phosphates, but I would ask your lawn maintenance company.
