Question: The University of CA Publication Pest Notes says that bait traps
for subterranean termites must be checked monthly. What is the service
Orkin provides?
ANSWER Bait checking schedules vary. The bait manufacturer specifies the minimum schedule in the labeling. It is not unusual for baits to need checking more often than the label specifies.
In areas with extremely high termite activity, they are sometimes checked twice per month. In areas of moderate termite activity, they can be checked monthly or every other month. In areas with very low termite activity and in areas where winters are severe, baits may only need to be checked every few months.
The local Branch office can explain the treatment protocols in your area.
