any reply
ANSWER Maybe you have Pharaoh ants--these could easily travel with your belongings.
Pharaoh ants are a household pest. They can be difficult to control because they infest the entire house and standard treatments are not effective . In general it is best NOT to spray for these ants, but to use baits.
The best control strategy is to use baits. Prepare to be patient because the baits take time . There can be many small colonies throughout the house; so the baits will have to be located in many places. The use of liquid baits is best, and you may want to try several different brands (maybe at once). Put the baits in areas where you have seen ant activity. Keep the baits filled so that all of the ants can eat it. If ants run out of bait they will simply move on to find another food source.
Resist the urge to spray. If you spray insecticide for Pharaoh ants you may only make the situation worse. Spraying liquid insecticides usually causes the ants to scatter and makes more colonies!
