Colorado House Spiders

House spiders are common and sometimes abundant spiders. In Colorado, as in the rest of U.S., house spiders commonly invade buildings looking for prey and a suitable spot to web. Over time, they are capable of producing copious amounts of visible webs, leading to their being considered a nuisance. Like most other spiders in the U.S., their venom is not considered medically threatening to the average person.

Control of house spiders often involves sealing up exterior entry points, landscape maintenance and contacting a local pest management professional.
