Husky Garden Spider
Garden spiders, also known as husky garden spiders, are present throughout the world. Found in gardens and near bushes, husky garden spiders belong to a group known as orb weaving spiders. Their webs are intricate and incredibly strong, resisting inclement weather and strong forces exerted by large prey.
Husky garden spiders produce two kinds of silk: sticky and non-sticky. Non-sticky fibers create the support lines of the web, while sticky silk comprises the rest of the web, allowing for maximum trapping efficiency.
These spiders do not actively hunt for prey; they hang upside down from the center of their webs and wait for prey to come near. Husky garden spiders can be seen in motion when their webs are in need of repair or expansion.
