Electronic Mice Repellent
Electronic mouse repellents use high frequency sounds to drive mice away from food sources and nesting grounds within human homes. Electronic devices are preferred in homes with pets and small children, as they do not prove toxic. They also do not result in the death of the mouse and therefore leave less mess.
Electronic mouse repellents produce high frequency sounds that are inaudible to humans. These sounds are alarming to mice and discourage them from settling or feeding in affected areas. However, the sound emitted by these repellents cannot pass through walls and furniture may limit their range. The effectiveness of electronic mice repellents typically ranges 400 unobstructed square feet.
Like other repellents, electronic mouse repellents tend to be most effective outdoors. Mice inside the home will vacate the affected area but rarely leave the structure entirely. Rather, they locate an area not reached by electronic repellents and reestablish their nests.
