Humane Mouse Traps
Humane mouse traps catch mice without harming them. Rodents can then be released into their natural habitats. These traps are also safe for humans and house pets, as they do not employ the use of poisons.
By killing mice, glue and classic snap traps leave disturbing and unsightly messes, which must be addressed immediately by homeowners. Mice may survive the initial snap of the classic traps with only disturbing and painful injuries; it is oftentimes necessary for homeowners to dispose of injured, live rodents. Mice are also sometimes capable of releasing themselves from glue traps, although they often die of starvation if they cannot.
Humane mouse traps lure mice with bait. When a rodent approaches and enters the trap, a spring door snaps shut to trap it. Captured rodents must then be brought outside and released. In areas of great infestation, these traps may not prove effective. Additionally, mice may return to the infested home after being released. Mouse-proofing efforts should be undertaken to prevent reentry.
