Boric Acid for Termite Control

Mined in the Mojave Desert, boric acid is a natural, white powder that has been used to treat pest infestations since the 1920's. It has proven especially effective against cockroaches and is also used to treat ant and termite infestations, among others.

Some families prefer the use of boric acid to other chemical insecticides because it poses less threat to human and environmental health. However, boric acid is not as effective as specialized, professionally administered extermination methods. It is most useful when combined with other proven techniques and chemicals and as such, is now an ingredient in over 200 common pesticides.
