Best solution to protect my dogs from flies?
Question: Hello! I’ve heard different answers to this question, but thought I’d reach out to the experts. Is there any treatment your company can provide to get rid of flies?
We have three dogs and they are being attacked by flies all day. The best thing we can do to protect them is use Flys-Off, but it doesn’t help knowing flies carry so many diseases. Thanks!
Answer: If the dogs are being ‘attacked’ by flies these may be stable flies. The breeding sites for these flies includes accumulations of grass clippings and other decaying organic matter (but they do not usually breed in dog feces).
The best strategy would be to find out where they are coming from / breeding and changing that. This would work better than treating the dogs with the repellent that probably doesn’t work that well.
