Answer: Cockroaches are attracted by their need for food, moisture and a temperature- friendly environment that provides protective shelter sites in which to live and proliferate. Some of the specific situations attracting cockroaches are:

  • Openings that lead inside

  • Cracks and crevices in dark areas of the home

  • Food crumbs, spillage or waste

  • Cockroaches don’t need much moisture to survive, but they are commonly found in damp areas such as around or near water leaks or inside drains.
