Crawl Space Insulation

A poorly maintained crawl space will collect heat that will eventually rise into your home. It can also be a gateway into your home for many pests. Crawl space insulation helps you conserve energy and keep insects out.

R-Values for Crawl Space

The U.S. Department of Energy recommends different levels of home insulation according to your climate. These levels are measured in R-values. A higher R-value indicates that your crawl space will better resist heat transfer.

Most U.S. homes should have between R-13 and R-30 insulation in the crawl space; however, many do not. Your Orkin Man can best determine what R-value your home requires.

Benefits of Crawl Space Insulation
  • High R-value (R-19) = lower energy bills
  • Poly encapsulation keeps moisture away from insulation
  • Formaldehyde-free
  • Better indoor air quality
  • Superior sound control
  • Lower environmental impact with at least 25% recycled content
