Executive Promotion and New Hires

Leavitt promoted to assistant to president, Cipriano named assistant vice President of Human Resources and Baumann named director of Technical Services.

Atlanta-based Orkin recently promoted Steve Leavitt to assistant to the president of Orkin USA, where he will be responsible for maximizing growth in Orkin’s residential pest control practice. Orkin also named Bob Cipriano as assistant vice president of human resources, replacing Vye Ladd who will retire at the end of this month, and Greg Baumann as director of technical services. Cipriano will oversee five division human resources departments for Orkin, and Baumann will provide technical support and guidance primarily to Orkin’s new and ongoing marketing initiatives.

Leavitt originally joined Orkin, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollins, Inc. (NYSE: ROL), in 1994 as a pest control Pro in Las Vegas. Leavitt and his family will relocate this month to Atlanta from San Diego, where he was a senior region manager for Orkin.

“For almost 16 years, Steve has made enormous contributions to Orkin,” said John Wilson, president of Orkin USA. “I am confident he will continue to bring new ideas as we strive to provide the best pest control service to our customers.”

Cipriano has worked in the human resources field for more than 25 years, including senior-level positions with Kimberly-Clark and General Electric. Baumann joins Rollins after 18 years at the National Pest Management Association. He has worked in the pest control industry for nearly 30 years, and in 2006, was named PCT/Syngenta Professional Products Crown Leadership Award winner.
