Orkin established a branch in Puerto Rico after identifying it as an area with a growing demand for quality pest control service. The company presently services a number of its national account customers located on the island using subcontracted pest control companies. With the Puerto Rico branch, Orkin will be able to deliver those services directly and take advantage of the growth potential that exists in the commercial and residential markets.
“Orkin is committed to establishing long-term relationships with its customers and co-workers. By creating a presence in Puerto Rico, we’ll increase our reach and better meet the needs of existing and potential customers,” said John Wilson, president of Orkin USA. “We look forward to strengthening the relationships we currently have there and establishing new ones with businesses and homeowners on the island.”
Branch Manager Antonio Fajardo-Fernandez will oversee the company’s Puerto Rico operation. Fajardo-Fernandez brings five years of industry experience and a wealth of knowledge about the region to Orkin.
“We are excited to have Tony on our team,” said Jose Rodriquez, Orkin’s region manager who oversees the territory that now includes Puerto Rico. “He has extensive experience in managing startup and growth operations in our industry and others in the Caribbean region.”
