Peterson Promoted to Director, Government and Environmental Affairs

Atlanta-based pest control leader Orkin announced today the promotion of Matthew Peterson to director of government and environmental affairs.

Peterson will be responsible for maintaining partnerships with state and environmental regulatory agencies to develop relationships and promote environmental stewardship.

Peterson originally joined Orkin, a wholly owned subsidiary of Rollins, Inc. (NYSE: ROL), in 2005 as a division technical services manager for the company’s Southeast division where he worked directly with branches to provide professional technical expertise and training on customer service and pest treatment approaches. Before joining Orkin, Peterson worked for Terminix in operations management.

Peterson graduated from the University of Florida where he received a Bachelor of Science degree in entomology and nematology. Peterson, his wife, Gia, and their three daughters, Emily, Natalie and Noelle, have relocated from Jacksonville, Fla., to Atlanta.
