What do Brown-Banded Cockroaches Look Like?
Adults
Brown-banded cockroaches are one of the smaller cockroaches with adults being only about ½ inch long. They also have the following characteristics:

These roaches are light to dark brown in color and the females are slightly shorter than the males.

Adult females have wings that cover only their thorax and part of their abdomen, while adult males have wings that cover their entire thorax and abdomen.

Both males and females have two light colored bands that run transversely from one side to the other across the base of the wings and the abdomen.

Wings are brownish, but are lighter colored along the margins of the wing.

The adult’s legs and underside of the body is yellow-brown colored.
Nymphs
Nymphs do not have wings, but do have both brown and yellow colored patterns on their body and the light colored bands that appear on the adults.
Egg Case
The brown-banded cockroach egg case is reddish-brown and about ¼ inch long.
