What is the Insect 2151 Science Fair?
Did you know there’s a global shortage of entomologists today? That’s where Orkin comes in. We used our insect smarts to challenge students to imagine what the future could look like through insect-based innovation. We may not know what the next 125 years will hold for the insect world, but we do know it starts by inspiring the next generation of future entomologists.

Entomology Over Generations
For Orkin entomologists Patricia Hottel and her son Ben Hottel, curiosity runs in the family. Throughout her career, Patricia has shared her passion for insects and science with young people, including Ben. That early exposure helped spark an interest that eventually became a career of his own. Now colleagues at Orkin, their story shows where an early fascination with science can lead.
