Is it a mouse or a rat?
Question: I can't tell if I have large mice or adolescent rats. The last one I caught had a 4" long body but it had a pointy nose, so size says maybe a small rat but nose says mouse.
Answer: Field mice and house mice will have a gray to white belly (underside); immature rats will not.
