What are the tiny brown droppings on my desk?

Question: I’ve been finding these tiny brown droppings on my desk for the past week. They look like little seeds and they are light to dark brown. They almost look like the seeds outside a strawberry. I keep cleaning them up, but they reappear. What are they?

Answer: It is difficult to identify them with that description. It might be house mouse droppings or it could be German, American or Smokeybrown cockroach droppings. These cockroaches will use cracks, crevices and voids to travel around. Another possibility is that it could be drywood termites, which will even infest furniture.

There is no way to be sure unless a thorough inspection and identification is made by an expert trained in the science of Pest Control. Your Orkin Pest Specialist is that person.

Since your description of the issue is very vague, your best option is to call your local Orkin Branch Office.

An Orkin Specialist can look at the droppings and identify the source, in addition to looking for other signs of infestation. Your Orkin Pest Specialist will develop a customized solution based on science that best meets your needs.
