Can you identify this wasp?

Question: I believe there is a queen paper wasp in my bedroom. It’s huge and has wings, a black body, and yellow legs/appendages. I attempted to spray it with ant and roach killer. I have no idea if it’s dead or not, but there are smaller versions of it flying around my house. What are they?

Answer: This may be a paper wasp, as you say, but these wasps are not very large. A large black wasp may be a bald-faced hornet (which is actually a yellow jacket), and they come indoors at times.
