DON’T LET THE BED BUGS BITE

Orkin’s 2020 Top Bed Bug Cities

Checking in? Here's what to look for.

Travelers need to be vigilant about bed bugs. Here are a few simple tips to follow whenever you check in to a new hotel:

  • Survey the hotel room for signs of an infestation. Be on the lookout for tiny, ink-colored stains on mattress seams, in soft furniture and behind headboards. Check the mattress, box spring, and other furniture, as well as behind baseboards and torn wallpaper.
  • Place your bags in the bathtub. If there are no signs of bed bug activity, remove your luggage from the tub and keep it elevated off the floor.
  • When you wake up in the morning, be sure to re-examine your pillow, sheets, and mattress.
